Once a month ANOS Melbourne Suburbs members get together to discuss orchid cultivation, admire our beautiful Australasian orchids and listen to knowledgeable speakers.
Our meetings emphasize improved growing methods to develop stronger and better flowering plants and support and encourage ongoing breeding of Australasian orchids. We already have an experienced group of members and scientists actively sharing their knowledge of orchids during the meetings and we encourage informality and discussion. We plan to cover information on all genera over time and we support conservation through breeding and other initiatives.
At meetings benched orchids are judged by our judging panel according to ANOS judging guidelines. Plants for judging need to be benched between 7.00 and 7.30pm.
- When we Meet - Usually on 4th Wednesday of the month at 7:30pm
- Where we Meet - Montrose Primary School, Cnr. Leith Road & Trevallyn Road Montrose.
